Cleaning the keg tap
Is it safe to clean the keg tap(d system) in the same way that you clean the line itself? When the system is apart for cleaning, would running cleaning solution through the keg tap be harmful?

when I clean mine, i mix the beer line cleaner solution with water in a very clean bucket (used only for this) put the keg coupler in the bucket with the solution and run the rest thru the faucet with a container that fits right to the faucet. run clear water thru entire system afterwards

I put all the removable components in a bucket with cleaning solution. I take the faucet complete apart but I don't do this for the coupler. I run clean water through each part prior to reassembling.
The lines and shank are done separate so by the time I put it all back together it's good to go.
I'd recommend getting the 2qt cleaning system. I wish I had done so to start with.

And wear the appropriate safety gear such as goggles. This stuff hurts when you get it in your eyes!

Which is the best cleaning kit to get, the pressurized or manual pump? How does the pressurized kits work? Do you connect it to the C02? Thanks Tim
