Default Beer Temperature Issues

Awsome forum!

I have one of the problematic Dandy keg coolers. My issue is with the temperature of the beer. I can maintain a 38 deg. air temp. per a thermometer located at the front of the unit. I can also maintain a consistant liquid temp. of 36 deg. per a thermometer in a glass of water located at the rear of the unit on the shelf. I check the beer temp by removing the glass of water, pour a beer (after clearing the warmer beer from the lines due to the uncooled tower) and then I check the temp. with the thermometer from the glass of water. The thermometer will climb to 41-42 deg. while in the beer but will drop to 36 deg. when put back into the water. The 1/4 keg of Bud Light has been in the unit for two weeks. It is elevated on the stand per the instructions. The temperature setting is at the lowest level of 36 degrees. Any suggestions?
