Default Lots of foam.

I recently bought a kegerator. It is a low end model (Avanti BD6000). I have been hitting it hard for about 5 days. I am still pumping out foam. Is there a trick? The company said the CO2 pressure should be 10-12 PSI. I am running 8PSI and it seems to be better, but still lots of foam. Please help. Thanks in advance.
P.S.
I tried to search the threads for an answer, but once again I have been hitting the keg hard.

Of all the boards that I read, that is the only good excuse I have ever seen for starting a new thread before reading the search results.

Take the Avanti back. I bought one at Best Buy 6 months ago with nothing but problems. The thermostat could not hold a temp. 48 degrees to frozen keg with only a tiny change in setting. The tower will give you problems. I bought a $400 fridge converted it for under $200 with Micromatic and love it. We have been through 7 kegs with no problems, plus we have a place to keep frozen mugs. Trust me...... take it back.

I can't argue against returning that particular product, but it can be improved if you don't mind spending a little more money. I received the same exact Avanti as a Christmas gift and had the same problems; but after reading some other posts on the forum I invested in a 3" PVC beer tower and new D-coupler from Micromatic last week. It arrived on Friday and I installed it on Saturday {drilled 4 holes to mount the tower and hooked up the MM coupler to a 1/2 keg of Yuengling Lager}.

The improvement was phenomenal!!

By SuperBowl Sunday, every single pour from the new tower was perfect. The beer line was the proper 5' length and the 3" diameter allowed the tower to maintain the right temperature.

Problem solved. Thanks to the participants on this forum, it was a really good Superbowl.

Thanks for the help. I'll let you know what I decided to do. It seems to be pouring pretty good now, not perfect but acceptable. The temp has been at 38 degrees for a while now, so I'm not touching a thing.
