Default Hollow Pour

I recently have had what i would call a Hollow Pour. The beer comes out of the faucet on occasion as though it were wrapped around a straw, not a solid stream of beer. It causes a foamy pour. Any ideas what is making this happen??

I see that happening sometimes too. It seems to have someting to do with pressure and the faucet. I find that if you nudge the tap handle one way or another (left of right) it will pour normal again. If there is a lot of play in the lever of the faucet then you could replace the plastic washer/bushing to firm it up.

If threr is to much play then there is a rubber gasket above the plastic gashet seat that should be replaced.

I seem to be having this same problem with the new stainless faucets, is your faucet stainless or brass? I'm putting in new towers that some of the faucets are doing this and I'm positive the restriction is right. All so far are S/S faucets. Anybody having any problems with the thermostats on the 75 ft. power packs? How about the secondary regulators on the wall panels creeping?

Beer Dr., I noticed the problem with the SS faucets also. It only happened once with a couple of faucets on a tower, so I didn't pay too much attention to it, but now that someone else has had a problem with that, I will watch it closer. Also, I have had to change out the thermostats on 2 of the 75' glycol coolers that I had installed. As far as the regulator are concerned, MM is aware of those problems. Tapman

I do have a SS Micromatic faucet. I have another faucet that is not stainless. I will try that one next and see if it helps.

I have noticed that problem after cleaning on some long draws. Sticking a sip stick up the faucet while it is pouring will correct it.
