what do I need to dispense Guinness ?

ok I read some posts and I have some questions..

I guess I need a special Faucet..
I guess I need a special tap..

I need special gas 75%N2/25%co2

how do you get that ?? I need 2 tanks and something to
make that mix ? or buy that gas already mixed ?

as for the regulator.. I have spare Co2 ones.. you cant
use those for N2 ? is there really a difference ?

do I need anything else special to pour Guinness ?

Yes - it has a restriction and a diffuser disk (essentially a flat metal disk with 4 very, very small holes in it). They're not to bad if you watch Ebay. Turns out the 'classic' (small oval shield) brass ones are pricier than the new-fangled ones with the 'pint glass' handle. Whodathunkit. The old style ones go from $50-75 and the new style from $30-50 or so.

You need a different keg coupler, yes.

yep - Geer gas in Columbus/Fairborn OH did it for me, I guess it's not at all a strange request, although I doubt the welding store could have done it for me (but I did not ask either).

You can do it either way, but I simply purchased a nitrogen tank and a CO2-N adapter (around $15).

not THAT is a good question (anybody from MicroMatic perusing the threads?) -- I have a MM dual-guage regulator, and it has fits with the 1500psi that the N tank holds. If I ease into opening, and don't open the tank far, it works ok, but I'm fearful I'm gonna come home and find an empty tank. Last time that happened, I actually had a bad seal on the low-side guage (I could NOT believe it - it had been through many, many kegs and never dropped/spindled/mutilated).
I'm trying to figure out whether I have a bad MM CO2 regulator, or whether I need to either purchase a better regulator (is there such a thing?) or a N regulator.

yes... um.... the keg o' Guinness. (sorry, couldn't resist!)

Gotta tell you though, it pours perfectly, and tastes better. Not cheap, but much better price than any bar of course. I waited a long time, but I wish I had not. I've poured quite a variety looking back, and this is the best.
