Default Tubing and barbed swivel nut

I assume that if I have 5/16 gas line that I will need 5/16 barbed swivel nut to make connection? The 1/4 barbed swivel nut won't work will it, on my gas disconnect?

Not certain what a swivel nut is but if you can fid the right clamp to connect the 5/16" tubing to the 1/4" barbs without having any leaks - great! otherwise, use a 5/16" barb.
