Default Leak Diagnosis

A friend just recently returned my Double Gauge CO2 regulator, and it seems to be leaking or venting from the small hole next to the set screw. I didn't have time to buy and install a new gasket so I'm using the old one, but I can't think or find any reason for the leak. Any ideas? Is it time for a new regulator?

First thing to check is What is the pressure set for? The pressure could be set too high.

If you have gas coming from that hole, it usually is the needle valve that screws into the body of the regulator (inside). sometimes, just take it out, put your finger over the hole, turn the gas on for a second, to blow some dust out and put it back in. If that doesn't work, than replace the valve. Tapman

Thanks for the tips. I'll try and disassemble the valve and clean it and hopefully that'll do the trick. The pressure was only set around 15psi, so I don't think it was overpressured.
