Default Multiple Component Questions

I'm relatively new to this site and kegerators so please excuse any ignorance I may show.

But I recently bought this kegerator:
FamilyRecRoom.com - Full Size, Single Beer Tap Kegerator Refrigerator

And after numerous foam, pressure, and other issues I have realised that alot of the components in this system probably aren't of the best quality.

I bought this new regulator earlier:
http://www.micromatic.com/draft-keg-...s-pid-642.html

I'm sure this will solve some problems, but I am unsure what length my CO2 line and beer hose need to be. This setup for now won't be pumping out anything of quality ( can't afford it during football season) assuming that may come into play on the lengths (expect anything from natty light to coors light to pass through it for the next few weeks).

CO2 Lines can be any length you went really, just cut it to what you need. In fact, the stuff they supplied you with is probably fine. What you really need to be concerned with is the beer line itself. In a system like that you will need approximately 5' of 3/16" beer line which you can get here from Micromatic. You may also need to get that tower cooled which I am pretty sure it is not. The other other issue you need to determine is if the thermostat is keeping the temperature cool enough (38 degrees).

Thanks for the reply, yeah I'm starting to realise there is a fair number of problems I have to work through.

The regulator it came with made it impossible to dial in the right pressure which is why I'm trading in some of the components for better stuff. I'm also finding out this will require alot of work in the long run.

I will definitely be getting a new beer line now, the one I have is "maybe" 2.5' long, it's very short and may explain many problems so far.

The temperature I've almost got figured out, I'm slowly closing in on that perfect 38 degrees.
