Set Up?
This is a total ignorant question on my side as I know nothing. I wish to set up a Keg of guinness on a 2 week vaction camping trip. I have nothing at all other than the Irish love of the Stout. And Yes I know it runs on nitrous.
Other than that what do I need to get this thing working.

Will you have access to AC power? If you do, then you might be able to use a kegerator setup for Guinness. That would be the best way but be prepared to shell out a bunch of money for the kegerator and the special parts you'll need to pour Guinness.
I suspect that you might not have access to AC power. In that case, you need to look into buying or building a jockey box. I have one that works great for standard beers but I'm not sure if you can do one with Guinness.
Keep in mind, no matter what you do, you're going to have to keep the keg cold the entire time. If it was just for a day or two and you planned on using the whole keg, you could just keep it "cool". For extended periods - like a couple weeks - it's gonna have to stay cold (well under 50 degrees) or it will go bad.
Maybe some Guinness experts can chime in.

I will have no access to any electric.
This is what I was considering please help me if I am being incorrect in my thought process.
There will be a ton of people drinking and we normally float a keg in a couple days.
So I was thinking perhaps the oversized heavy duty trashcan wth lid, hopefully some dry ice just to keep the heat off, a small jockey box with cool plate, and ice daily.

Guinness will run fine through a cold plate, in fact, some bars, although it is not the best way to do it, still run Guinness through a cold plate or coil box. Make sure you have a 75/25mix, put your pressure to 35, keep plenty of ice on and under the cold plate,and you should have no problems. Keep the keg cold with regular ice,(no dry ice needed),in fact, you don't have to be AS concerned with ice on the keg as you do the ice on the cold plate, although it is something to still keep in mind. Should last quite a while without problems. Enjoy your vacation.( I'm jealous) Tapman

i have set up portable kegs a few times....it depends on when you do it..If it is gonna be cold out then you have an advanatge. I did one once in the summer and got a heavy duty rubbermaid can and put the keg in there and kept ice on it at all times,and it worked very well. Once you get that figured out, you basically need everything you would if you had it in a fridge, ie, the gas tank, coupler, beer & air lines, the stout faucet, shank, and tap handle. It takes a bit of setting up, but nothing beats pouring your own guinness wherever you want!
