noob question
I'm sorry for the noob questions.. I've looked around and haven't found the right answers yet, so I thought I would post in here.
Is it possible to get a keg of Guinness and a keg of Yuengling to both work properly off the same mixed gas? We finally have a second regulator installed that lets us set the Guinness at 35psi and the Yuengling at 12psi, but the Yuengling is still coming out as almost all head.
I've been pushing the guys to hire someone that knows what they are doing to come fix this, but I'm in a world of wine drinkers who would rather spend money on other things.
Is there any hope of getting this to work? Our current setup looks like this:
* 75%/25% Nitrogen/CO2 tank
* Regulator - Set to 35psi
* 2 port manifold
Manifold port 1:
* Guinness Keg
* Guinness Faucet
Manifold port 2:
* 2nd Regulator - Set to 12psi
* Yuengling Faucet
The Guinness is pretty forgiving, but the Yuengling is a pain in the butt!

It seems the guys lowered the pressure on the Yuengling to around 5psi and it seems to be pouring ok. Is that enough pressure to maintain the beer? Or is it likely to go bad/flat on us?

To be honest it's establishments like yours that give draught beer a bad name. Improperly installed systems are what we installers have to deal with on a regular basis. There is more going on with your system than just the mixed gas issue, and it should be looked at. Do your employers take extra measures to make sure the wine they are serving is at the right temperature, etc? Tell them to do us all a favor, get the system fixed to dispense correctly or eliminate the draught beer. We care about our draught beer, and one bar or restaurant serving it improperly, is one to many!

This is a private bar, not a commercial one. I think it was pretty clear from my message that I know what we have is wrong and I need some help to get it fixed. I had hoped to get some real help in here. Can anyone explain what needs to change and why? Simply telling me that I'm the problem with this world doesn't actually help that much.

Unfortunately your post got to me before you edited it. The reason I assumed you have a commercial bar is the fact that you posted in this forum. This is for Bar, Pub & Restaurant Beer Dispensing, COMMERCIAL, so this would leave me to believe that you are operating a restaurant or bar. For home use there is a Home Beer Dispensing forum. Your lager should be stored @ 38 degrees, dispensed through 5-6" of 3/16" beer line and not with mixed gas. Straight CO2 is a must. Yes, you will have flat beer dispensing mixed gas at 5 lbs., very quickly! Had you posted in the correct forum, I would understand your lack of knowledge of your system and would have approached this topic differently.
