Default Soda Secondary regulators

I bought 2 in line secondary regulators that were used to dispense soda. 2 questions.... Can I use them to dispense beer? Can I put the nipple and nut in one of the regulators and make it a primary regulator? Thanks.

Thumbs down

No! Buy a primary. Those secondaries were designed to regulate a low pressure down to an even lower pressure.

Primary and secondary regulators share some parts and look pretty similar, but for $40 I wouldn't want to try and adapt one to behave like the other- 600psi is a lot of pressure to be messing with. The Micro Matic premium regulators are the best I've found.

You should be able use the soda regulators as secondary beer regulators though, you only need these to provide different pressures to multiple kegs when using one CO2 tank.
