    What is the industry standard practice for fitting selection before and after the regulator? Is every connector in the system NPT type?

    I am imagining buying a barb stem with a compression or flare fitting and have it not fit onto a CO2 regulator. Or imagine trying to connect a barb stem directly to the tank with a soft durometer tube leading to the regulator...hmm...that would be fun-like kinko the clown blowing up balloons (must put on safety glasses for this one)

    Does ASME or SAE have a specific standard for beer carbonating and dispensing systems? They have 100s of standards relavant to piping/fluid/pressure systems but they do not seem very specific to beer.

    (mental note - must form ANSI technical committe to develope standard for testing beer drinkability)

    -dangerously naive ::burp::

    The fittings on regulators are NPT. FYI: Threads on the couplers are BRP.
