Default Installing drain trays

Anyone have some advice on how to properlly and professionally install drain trays? I understand how to install the hardware/set up the drain but I am wondering the best way to secure the unit to the bar (in this case it is wood) and to seal around the edges. I assume I use some kind of silicon but would love to hear the way the other pro's approach the task.

Thanks.

I just put silicone sealant on the very edge before tightening down. I never put it on the whole tray or use a glue type. Years down the road when customer says drain tray is not level and doesn't drain you can pry it up and put a shim under to make it level again.
