Default blower install

I need to run 30ft from my walkin to the taps with 2 90's in the run. I know this is beyond the capabilites of a blower system and should use the glycol. The glycol cost is hard to manage right now.

What if;
I used a larger diameter channel to allow more air flow, and constructed two 45's to ease the abrupt 90.
One more, what if I placed a blower on both the pressure side and another one sucking on the return.

Has anyone tried any of these things?

The cost of waste associated with air shaft systems will be tough for you to manage. Jeff has valid points as to not considering draft at all.

Today though, the technology and designs for glycol systems exist that can preserve the quality of your draught products from the keg to the glass the life of the keg. There are retailers who make a living just on their draught sales alone by utilizing these systems.

If up front cost of a system is an issue, ask the installer if they are associated with a financial organization who can offer you programs to spread out the cost of the system. If they are not, call our customer service number and have them provide my number to you. I'll provide contact information to you for this type service.

Scott and Jeff,
Thank you both for the timely and informative reply's.
The new walk-in is for an expansion in my bar. Since my post yesterday I've learned some great news... I can actually place the walk-in below the new bar. (City will overlook ceiling height in basement, 7'6" code, I have 7') Thank god for this, my only other option would have been a walk-in on 1st floor and the 30' run.

Thanks again, and glad I found this forum.

The other advantage is that the prep cook is less likely to store food down there and retrieve it every five minutes.
