    Default power pack problem

Ihave a customer with a mm4301 power pack with digital thermostat mmto12. About every 6 weeks I get a call for warm beer. The digital readout says E2, which manual says it means that unit lost it's settings in the units memory. I reset it and it lasts five or 6 weeks . Is something causing this or is it a bad thermostat.

Provided that your glycol strength is right, and length of run is within within tolerance for that unit, it sounds like a thermostat to me.

In addition to Tapman's tips, be certain that this unit is on a dedicated circuit, condenser is clean, in a friendly environment, etc.

It could be the thermostat. But if you replace it and the same issue occurs, you now have a spare thermostat.

Thanks Scott, I told the customer several days ago that the unit was not on a dedicated circuit and all the outlets in the area were blackened from previous over heating and needed to be taken care of before I could do anything for him.

A few trip charges and service fees should enlighten them!
