Beer fobs draining kegs
I have encounterd beer fobs that apparently get stuck inside and will drain a pressurized keg thru the purge vent,I have tried filling them with line cleaner letting it soak working the float with solution inside the fob and it doesn't pull from cleanig can but connect to the keg and it pulls beer thru the drain .The fobs That have this problem(only 2 these are good fobs)are the micromatic stainless steal fobs with bullet shaped toggle on the side.I have bypassed these and ordered replacements because I dont know how to repair.Any tricks to clean the filters would be appreciated

We'll get back to you with more detail but have you disassembled the FOB and cleaned it? Also, during cleaning and rinsing, are you pulling the vents to assure these are cleaned and rinsed? Be certain that if your vents are plumbed to one location that there is no blockage in any of the vent tubes.

If I clean a line I work the float and the vents.I have taken apart the plastic kind and cleaned them successfully. The stainless type I have taken apart Inop fobs to get a handle on the pieces but these had some heavy corrosion and I am not completly clear what the guts should look like I did see small screen like pieces wich I think are what is getting gunked up.Blockage in vent tubes I will now look for, this did not even occur to me.
