    Default Upright Freezer or Refridgerator?

    I'm going to build a draft tower system with about 5 foot run with a blower , just have a question which unit i should buy,years ago i had a fridge system and no problem keeping cold , also can either unit be drilled through the side for mounting pipe and blower. thanks Dave

    As for the drilling question, it depends on the make & model. Generally speaking, if there are condenser coils on the back or underneath the unit it would be safe to drill. Mostly fridges are built that way. Freezers sometimes have the condensers in the exterior walls of the unit & not safe to drill. If you can, before you purchase, inquire about this from whomever you make the purchase.

    Hucklebuck,

    My only concern would be if either unit can keep the entire system cold. I've seen walk-ins not be able to handle the extra refrigeration load of a blower draft syste.
