Default Fob

What is fob and/or fobbing? another question, just a ballpark estimation if anyone can, how much would it cost to install a complete system for 12 beers? that would have to include every aspect of draft beer. glycol, air?

FOB stands for froth on beer or foam on beer. These devices are used to eliminate waste associated with long draw remote systems. Each time a keg empties the device prevents the beer from from vacating the line between the FOB (located near the keg) and the faucet. They can pay for themselves within months based on the volume dispensed.

As to an estimate on a system, we can put you in touch with an certified installer who can consult with you on best practises to assure the best presentation of draught beer to your customer. This is critical as draught is a very profitable item and you want to encourage resale. Do not settle for just any system. This decision may make a difference between acheiving the above and pour cost.

Sorry Scott but Fob doesn't stand for anything. Fob is a British term for air and the units were originally called fob detectors. When they detected air in the line the float would drop. They are now just called fobs for short.

Stands for "Free on Board" or "Fresh off the Boat" or a small pocket for a key or watch. As for beer, your definition sounds great other than the reference to "air". There is another definition used in the trade but is unprintable on this forum.[}]
