Default Replacing glycol line

I have an account that wants to take root beer off tap and put beer on. I have heard that you need to replace this line. Can you replace just one line or do you have to replace the whole trunk line. I know very little about glycol systems. I don't think you can just replace one line. Thanks.

You are correct in that you cannot replace just one line. The whole thing has to be replaced. How long was the root beer on tap? If it was for just a little while, you MAY be able to still use it for beer. If it has been on for any considerable amount of time, there is nothing you can do to to it except replace the whole trunk line. Tapman

Root beer was on for a couple of years. The account is looking into getting the whole trunk line replaced as we do not handle that type of system. Thanks.

I am assuming that you do not install systems? A trunk line is a trunk line(basically).MicroMatic manufactures one of the better ones. You can replace a ****** or Perlick trunk line with a MicroMatic trunk line, if you do that kind of thing. Tapman

We have done some forced air systems (trunk line) but we do not do glycol systems. I don't know much about glycol systems. And I understand that a trunkline is a trunkline, but dealing with the glycol itself and the glycol unit is something we haven't gotten into.
