    Default Dumb Faucet Question

I just got a kegerator for xmas/bday and I had a question about the faucet....if you pull the faucet not enough it is all foamy, if you pull it just right its a good pour, and if you pull it too far it shuts it most the way off and is foamy. It is tough to get the perfect pull and I was wondering if ordering a new tap would be beneficial??? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. It would be nice to be able to just open the faucet all the way and get a beer instead of having open it to the exact spot.

What kind of kegerator? A lot of the lower end ones use nonstandard faucets. This may very well be your problem. Keep in mind that if your faucet is indeed nonstandard, a replacement may need a new shank as well.

Its a Danby. I've read on hear about a lot of improvements that people are making to it, and I intend on trying a few of them. How do you know if it needs a new shank and which shank to get??? Thanks!

Danby is reportedly one of the nonstandard faucet models. I don't know if this is true or not, but just what I've researched. Someone on this board a while back was going to buy a Ventmatic. I was hoping myself that this person would reply back if this was successful or not.

A shank is not that expensive. Were I going to order a new faucet, I'd likely order the shank while I was at it just to save the shipping and handling were I to need it and had to order it separately.

    Default Dumb Faucet Question

Anyone know if the Kenmore Kegerator Model comes with a standard faucet, or should I replace it?
