odd request from possible customer
greetings to all.......... was in a little town today, trying to locate a new customers bar. unable to find so i went into a bar on the main drag to see if they knew. nice place, seen they had a beautiful perlick style 4 handle mushroomtower.so natuarlly, being the salesman i am asked if they needed a system cleaner. found out it is not operating at the moment.apparently the owner doesnt want to use the basement walkin.(looks like the gates of hell yecch!)what he wants to do is see if its possible to put a 3-4 keg draft box under bar and plumb it to the existing tower. its a L shaped bar, tower located at junction of short and long sections.he is willing to extend bar straight to accomodate 4 box. didnt take any measurements, but it looked like maybe...12 to 18 in between top of box to bottom of tower. was thinking i might be able to use a 3.5 in. tower, slip it inside of mushroom, secure it to box,and run the lines through it. have owner order a single tower box so we dont have to cut anything but possibly the tower. anyone out there ever jack with some thing like this? i appreciate any techhie advice out there!thanks.......cya brian .

18 inches should have a blower, no pun intended. Would it be a straight shot from cooler to tower ? Or is it of to the side? Either way, it can be done.

odd request
greetings, and thanks for reply. at the moment, this is all in the planning stage. in a perfect world, im hoping for a straight shot.was hoping that the tower cooling tube would work, but now after reading your reply. that is alot of area to cool inside mushroom. i am meeting with the customer this mon.,and want to show him im not some dolt looking for a quick kill. am bringing tape measure with me then, and can update later. am also concerned about lines rubbing against tower top. dont want them getting nicked or sliced open. once again thanks for reply! cya.......brian at K C draft line service.

You could use the existing flex tube with the keg box to cool tower. Possibly extend it if necessary to reach back of shanks. Insulate the outside of the sleeve you are installing between the tower and the keg box.
Get a grip on the beer temperature, apply the correct pressure for product type and install right amount of 3/16" line - minimal waste and high resale.

Greetings to all...Appreciate your reply Scott.Didnt think of exteror insulation.I had one more concern, and that is securing tower to box. Height between top of box and bottom of barcould be limited.(guesstimation until meeting mon.)Could it be possible to slip tower down though mushroom and use a 90 deg. phillips or a stub phillips in that small area? Not being anal about it, just want a good solid trouble-free installation. Once again, thanks for the input.....cya Brian at K. C. Draft Line Service.

Brian, I am not certain that I understand what you mean by the "Tower". Is this a piece of tubing? When you know more about the distance, let us know.

Greetings to all.... sorry I didn't reply sooner Scott, had a terminal situation with computer. In reply to your question on"tower",i was going to try and use the pedestal that came with new draft box. and slip it down the mushroom and attach it to draft box using the existing hardware. But unfortunatly, the owner decided to use his establishment for a Walgreens!!! Was already flagged by Illinois Liquor Commision for non -payment on distributor accounts. On C O D basis with everyone. Some folks never learn. Would have liked to tried to tackle this problem. So many thanks again for your input.I could have really used the extra account, but it turned out to my benefit anyway.Better to be safe than sorry!Stay in touch,Brian at KCDraft Line Service...................................

It would be difficult to compete with a bulldozer! Good luck with acquiring additional accounts.
