    Default Warm cooler cold beer

I did a ^ line beer system where the cooler temp was kept around 40 F, because of some food in it but the ower wanted cold draft. Use a Pop system chiller changed it to glycol, it had pump, sojusted had to set temp colder. Push the beer with pumps an air compressor ran the beer pumps , set co2 pressure 16-18 to keepco2 content correct in beer. Ran preesre of air to get the rigth flow rate. The chiller was just behind the wall at draft station, work great. beer temp was 32-34 f. Anyone every try this? L. Tapper

Yes. What line lengths did you use between the pumps and faucets. This may work if you are just pouring a glass of beer intermittently. For a pitcher, forget it.

Also, if you do not get the pressure exact for the kegs, you will either over or under carbonate the beer. Pumps will not function if either takes place. Use a gas blender if there are temperature issues. Target 38 F.

Scott, I think You missed the point. The cooler would keep beer from off taste, but not good temp to sell. Like you said add 1# co2 for 2 degree above 36 so no over carb. but resistence was at 30 to 36 lb. thus use the pumps to push it. was there today. This system has been in four years and he says there is know problems wants gylcol changed thought. doesn't want the coolant breaken down.

Sure did[?][?][?] Again, how long of a system is it and is your beer temperature 40F or 32 to 34F. Pumps are recommended for systems 150' plus only. Is glycol temperature between 29 and 32F.

Sorry for not getting a reply back sooner, cooler temp is 40, temp in the glass 32-34. The total length of line is25 ft 3/8,16ft stainless steel in chiller of 1/4 plus 8ft 1/4 to draft stations. The lines are all glycol cooled as is the station. Glycol in chiller 28-30. still works great, even with pitchers.
