Beer Recipes
Not recipes for beer, but recipes that you use beer in. Boils, smokers, marinades?
I've filled the water pan in my smoker with beer and had some great results. Shrimp, crawfish and crab boils, too. And of course the beer can chicken.

Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed.
Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery
and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might
be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself,
"It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than
be selfish and worry about my liver."

Bump.
No one? Come on!
I hate when people dry brats out because they want to make sure they're done.
I like to boil brats in a full flavored American lager, like Budweiser. At this point, they're fully cooked. No worries about undercooked brats. Then finish them on the grill to get a nice crispy skin. If I'm making a lot for a party, I'll transfer the leftover boiled beer to a roasting pan (maybe 2" or so in the pan), throw that on the grill to reduce, and toss the finished brats in there. If they sit on the grill a while, you can always add another beer to the pan to keep it from drying out. Juicy brats all day long.

How about Louisiana red hot beer corn. Husk your corn, make a "boat" out of aluminum foil, corn in the 'boat", pour in about 2oz of your best cheap beer, a few or more dashes of hot sauce, couple dabs of butter or parkay. Wrap up the foil tight (without spilling) Than throw on the grill about 15-20 minutes or until it's done steaming.

Beer Rolls
These rolls are amazing. I found you don't have to use just a dark beer as it asks for. To date I've made them wtih hefeweisen and a micro amber ale and both worked great. Finally I found a reason to drag out and use my old breadmaker.

Beer Batter
Just a real simple beer batter made with flour, 1 egg, a bit of Tony Chachere's cajun seasoning, some garlic powder to taste & I like to use a Porter or a Dark Ale.
Works great with catfish fillets.

My brother made a mean beer cheese soup a year or two ago. I've been bugging him for the recipe but he hasn't found it yet.

Try this one
BEER GRILLED STEAKS
1- cup light colored beer (lager)
1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons molasses
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1/2 teaspoon salt (we use sea salt around here)
1/4 teaspoon black pepper (I like more)
4 ribeyes
mix all that stuff together with the steaks seal in a bag for a couple of hours in the fridge. Book don't say this but, I let the steaks sit at room temp. for awhile before grilling.
Need more?
I think around 90-100 Including a German Beer Cheese Soup recipe, someone was asking about soup.

Noob!
Ok, so I'm a beer noobie. Truthfully, until I came to work for MM, I knew little to nothing about beer, tapping it, kegerators, etc. I'm learning a lot!
One thing I do know is cooking. I love to cook. This thread interested me so I went looking to see what I could find for recipes that use beer. I found this one
Realbeer.com: Beer & Food
And I think there are more than a few I'll be trying out, espescially the Green Olive-chili beer dip.

Someone was asking about cheese soup
2 tabl. olive oil

1 small onion chopped
3/4 cup chopped carrots
1/2 cup chopped celery
2 cloves minced garlic
1/4 cup all purpose flour
2 cups chicken broth
1 bottle (12oz.) light colored beer
1 cup low or no fat milk
1 can (10 3/4 ounce) cream of mushroom soup
3 1/2 cups (14 oz.) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
hot sauce to taste, book says 1/2 to 1 teaspoon
Heat oil in large Dutch oven over med. heat add potatoes, onion, carrots, celery and garlic. Cook 5 min. or until tender. Add flour and cook 3 min. stirring constantly. Add broth, beer, milk, and cream of mushroom soup. Cook until mixture thickens slightly (5 min.)
Add cheese, pepper and hot sauce, simmer over med. low heat 20 min. stirring often. Serve with french bread or what ever.
