I gotta say guys, all this talk of amber bock, the warmer months are made for Sam Summer. Now on my second keg (the first lasted 3 weeks), and it just goes down so nice after a baseball game (I coach a couple of teams) or after some yard work or while watching baseball, or while having friends over....well, you see the point. Highly recommended.

Give me a break Mark! MD don't even come close to a South Georgia summer where we spend our nights sittin on the front porch watching the cars melt! Been so long since we had any good rain you could play basketball on my lawn! It's so hot I saw a dog chasing a cat and the were both walking! On the way home from work yesterday I drove by what I thought was a cotton field, it turns out it was a corn field and all the corn had popped! We can't even play golf after 10 AM cause the balls keep melting! And it aint even bad yet, just wait till July!

Chuck must be tapping into that keg of bock, he is quoting himself and stuttering lmfao. Georgia aint hot come on now. all that luscious greenery and fields, compared to asphalt, concrete and steel here, not to mention that big radiator the Chesapeake bay in my backyard. time to head "downy ocean soon hon" as we say here in Bawlmer lol

I can't see any problem with Sammy only being available in 1/2 barrels. That's exactly what you need since you will go through it in no time at all. And that price is right on the money with what I pay too, a little more than the Redhook brewery charges me for their kegs, but well worth it in my opinion.

it's the same thing with the amber bock, only available in sixtels and 1/2 kegs here, 1/4's are available everywhere else. and the summer seems right in the middle of the price range, nationwide they run from a low of $95 to a high of $135. but really I am slowing down a bit, got ripped a few weeks ago drinking summer ale in bottles while cutting grass, a lil hazardous. then I pig out and my blood sugar takes off not good either, moderation is the key now.

Oh, I fully agree with moderation. Just that moderation on a nightly basis seems to drain my keg pretty fast.
