Default Okie droppin in.

Hello all!
Since I had several things I wanted to discuss and wrap them all up in post, I wasn't sure where to put this one.

Kegerator
I bought a kit from ebay and an old fridge from down the the street and built my first kegerator.
The only issue I had building it was the slant in the bottom of the fridge so I had to build a floor out of pressure treated wood to have a flat surface.
I also use the fridge for curing meats so I needed the most out the floor space.(more about that later)
Also it allowed me to keep the keg level and enables for easy placement of new kegs.

The Beer
Oklahoma and it's 3.2% beer
Since my choices for strong beer is limited, I have very few choices for domestic beers.
I've tried Ice House, Lone star, and now Old Style.
The best thing about these are that they are cheaper than bud and stronger.
as much as I like the bud and bud light I can't see paying more for weaker beer.
I noticed when I found this forum, Certain beers have better temps and CO2 pressure.
I like my beer cold so it sits @ 33º and 12PSI. I have never had any problems with foam or pouring the ½in. head that I like.(until now)
I'm open to suggestions though.

The problem
I usually bring the keg home, tap i and run some beer through the lines.
I try to let it settle till the next day before drinking it.
There has been some cases where I had to start into it without letting it sit.
It would be a little foamy and get that little burp of beer as you first open the faucet.
This time it was spitting air every time. (messy)
Noticing the beer was still a little warm, I figured it was a direct result.
So I drank a few flat beers.
I guess that was the issue because I checked it this morning. One spit at first,(probably bubble form last night)
It's fine now. I've had the kegerator for about 1.5yrs and never had this happen.
interesting experience though.

The Forum
I found this forum this morning wondering what was had caused the air bubble.
I guess looking for the science of it and not the solution. The problem was solved, just curious.
There is a lot of good information here.
I have a forum of my own and am a member of too many.
I even have forums about forums.
In my forum and and another BBQ forum I frequent, Has an introductory forum.
I don't know how the members interact with one another here, but in mine we form member friendships and learn about a lot about each other.
In the introductory forum. member introduce there selves.
They tell a little about themselves and there BBQ equipment.
I wondered if that might be something this forum might be interested in.

Okay this is getting to long winded.

You need to drive one hour straight up highway 75 and get your kegs from Jo's Liquor if you want something other than 3.2 beer or see if B & B on Mingo or some other Tulsa Liquor store has a way to get something other than 3.2 beer. Rob at Jo's Liquor always has Bud Light kegs on hand but if you call ahead, he can order nearly whatever you want. In the old days you could have bought lottery tickets and got a tattoo while in Kansas, but Oklahoma closed the gap on those vices.

yep, thats the only crappy thing about the sooner state, very irritating too, just a suggestion, the air bubble could come from a slow leak in the coupler or beer line maybe, not a pro though so just a suggestion, also mine started sputtering a little when i didnt clean it soon enough
