Default well, more foam...then it dawns on me!

ok, so i have a 2 product party cooler with a cold plate. had tons of foam.(wrong line lenght and size) read on this forum how to calculate the line with the temp and pressure......no more foam. great.
i get another keg for card night....no foam. un tap it the next day, releasing the pressure and re-pressurizing it to 14lbs. set it out side to stay cold. next card night i re-tap it and .....ALL FOAM!!!. i had been bragging about how much i had leared on this forum and how much math is involved in pouring the perfect beer. now i look rediculous. i checked my pressure and made sure the plate was cold....still foam. then it dawned on me! if you leave the keg over pressurized for any lenght of time it will become over carbonated (thanks to you guys and all my reading) even though i released the pressure and re-pressurized it to 14lbs....it had already happened.
i shut off the co2 and released the pressure, shook the keg. released it again and then turned on the co2.....voila! no more foam!
this forum is great! i just wanted to let you guys know....un-knowingly you helped me. THANKS
xs
