  • Show Me your Tap handle

I though it would be nice to start a thread where we all could share a picture or pictures of our Keg tap handle. I will start off with mine.

    Cheers

Obviously you've already seen mine... but here it is again. BAM!

I also use one that's a baseball with the Cubs log.

        My homemade handles:

The Fat Tire side was my first attempt at a handle, however, I think I am going to remake it to mirror my Hoptober handle.

The Perlick 525's are tucked away...and stout faucets (with the restrictor disc removed) are now being used.

I like to keep a stout and an ale from a local brewery on tap.... Boddington's is one of my all time favorite beers....probably because of my experience the first time I had it.

            On tap:
            1/2 bbl of Lienenkugel's Original

Gone, but not forgotten: (Sadly, Walter Payton's is gone)
            Sixtel of Sam Adams OctoberFest
Sixtel of Walter Payton's Peat Smoked Scotch Ale
Corny of Payton's Dancing Bear Honey Wheat
Corny of Walter Payton's Aurora Amber Ale (both a malty and extra hoppy version)
Corny (3 gal) of Coconut Rum and Cola
Corny of Walter Payton's Beauregard's Blueberry Ale
Corny of Walter Payton's Sweetness Stout on Nitro
Corny of Rock Bottom's Belgian White Ale

Are those magnets? If so you must put a different magnet up depending on the beer you have on tap. Thats a great idea.

Ive been buying up beer taps that I can swap out depending on what I have on tap.

                  I have
                  two Bud Lights
                  Blue Light
                  Leinenkugel Sunset Wheat

Yes they are Photo Magnets which you can get at most any Craft store for about $1.50. I make one up for every different Keg I have had in the Fridge. Look around and find ones that have a good size magnet on them. A couple that I had, had too small a Magnet and would move around too much when you open the door and close it.

Even most "short handles" can be too tall for converted Top Freezer units, and some Breweries Ideas of Short can range from 5" inches to 9".

Some people have added a bracket that connects the fridge and freezer door, so that they can use taller taps without fear of hitting a tap when opening the freezer.

                        Cubby,

I have seen that here, but it just doesn't work for me. I like the use of the freezer for mugs and the Ice Machine that is in it, and don't like the idea of both doors opening just to get a Mug. I had looked that way, but find this works best for me.

I curse frozen mugs. You've just given me another reason to do so. Either way, I do like the tap handles you've got.

Thanks... hoping to turn a couple more out as well soon. Plan to add another Tap to the Fridge soon so will need another handle.

The ice machine comes in handy for the Margaritaville Margarita maker as well, plus some frozen food end up in there from time to time.

So how's the curse working out on the Frozen Mugs?

It's working OK most of the time. Every once in a while I'll be at a bar where they ruin my beer with one, so I just have to ask them to re-use the glass I've already got for the next beer.
