I bought a 2004 BM 23 a few months back for $40.00, it was not working. After much diagnosis I had a refrigeration guy install a new compressor for $300.00. I installed a new thermostat ($26.00), evaporator fan ($26.00) and door gasket for about $40.00. It was missing the rear cover so I made one out of sheet metal. It has been running and holding very constant temperature for about a week now. It has a cheezy looking paint job that I will deal with this summer, I'm still getting ideas. I am into this thing for just under $450.00. I'm getting a keg this weekend.

Actually $450 for a BM23 is not bad. The BM23 is a decent commercial kegerator. Have one in my basement.
The new units for less than a grand are generally very hard to get to pour correctly and very expensive to fix, if you can find anyone to work on them.
Enjoy your new reborn kegerator and let us know how she is doing!
