Does anyone know the significance of the part numbers on thermostats? I am replacing the one on my obsolete "Flagon 400" built by CCC. The Ranco part number is A30-3641 and I am not finding a cross reference number to anything. The unit is roughly the size of my BM23 and with a very similar looking compressor. The thermostat has a shorter capillary tube than the one on my Beverage Air. I will probably just use the same part as in the BM23 I was just wondering if there might be a closer match available.

Actually just looked up that Tstat the A30-3641 is a old "universal" style tstat that is discontinued. Google this bev air part number as a comparable replacment #502-194A .Last edited by PointPleasantNJBeerguy; 06-04-2014, 07:09 AM.

The #502-290B is a newer part number for "newer" BM23 units. the older units used a different tstat. Can't remember part number at the moment anymore but looked more like the one I gave part nmber for. But that old Ranco tstat was a universal kit so it wasn't even the original controller just a aftermarket someone put in. So I would say give the bev air controller a go.
The part number I gave is mainly installed on there #DW coolers "Bottle coolers" Temp cut outs are pretty close to the same as the #502-194A "Which beverage air doesn't use any more either..Last edited by PointPleasantNJBeerguy; 06-05-2014, 07:46 AM.
