AT the top of this page see the blue bar with tabs on top of it, right now The Beer Forum is selected. If you click on the next one over Social Network it will bring up that page. Scroll down a ways and on the right hand side you will find it. I intend to post there the Mods. we owners have done and can do to make the unit perfect so new owners can get see what's needed right away with out having to search through all the threads here. Sounds great that you are able and willing to do the few simple low cost things what will give the results you envisioned when you got it. Maybe take a few pictures of your work and post them on here we all seem to love that. Wow you got a really great price on the unit, I gave $350. for mine on Ebay but shipping was free and I thought that wasn't a bad price.

I read your post in Dukegrads thread. Your unit and my Edgestar KC2000 are the same unit with the same manufacture but just have different brand names. You can fit all bud products kegs in yours, I've had a 1/2 barrel a 1/4 barrel and 2 1/6 barrels at once in mine. The only thing that won't fit in there is some Millers and Coors 1/4 extra wide barrels, These are easy to spot because they are completely encased in a soft black plastic which resembles rubber. Depending on where your located the likelihood of getting one of these varies. Here in the Mid-west I've never seen one of these kegs for sell. I've gotten Millers 1/4 kegs here in the normal size which fit in fine. In Drakegrad thread you showed signs of buyers remorse. I don't know why it happened but I suspect his unit is lost and I feel bad for him since it seems he never really got a chance to enjoy it. I think he got a lemon or it got damaged, that happens sometime. You wonder if you should return it now while it's new and you still can without hassle, thus I believe asking for advise and counsel. I will tell you my first hand experience with our unit and also what I believe because other owners report. First a product overview, this unit is in the lowest tier of entry cost for a kegerator. As such out of the box they don't perform as well as they are able too since to set set them up that way would increase cost and move them into the 2nd tier and lose market share. If it cost $500. would you still have bought it? Another entry level unit is the Danby, that is more problematic than ours, witness the number of people with issues wanting help and the vast library of mods. for that unit compared to Vissani\Edgestar. It took me 6 months and less than $100.00 to get perfect pours first time every time, but it can be done for under $50.00 as reported by other owners. You already have some insight from Dukegrad post that the unit as shipped doesn't cool below 40F. but it is capable of 29 F. the point beer freezes and below. The reason I spent $100. is because I opted for an external temp controller $60.00 because it keeps keg temp with in 2 degree range whereas the screw adjustment leaves a 5 degree flux but is free. Next you must install a fan to blow air into the tower $20.00 or less using a quiet computer fan. You may want to add extra insulation to the tower but you should be able to do that for free. And last there is about a 5 degree difference in temp. from top to bottom of keg space thus foam so you need a computer fan inside to move air $10.00 now you have perfect first pours. But a little fast. Add some beer line it came with 5' foot buy 10' foot and it slows the pour speed by half. If that's to slow you can trim it a little a a time to get just what you prefer. All this might sound like a lot but cost is small and total time to do all this is under 3 hours and it's really easy to do. If you do it now you will be happy with your purchase. In conclusion don't return it because I know for a fact it can work unless you don't or can't make a few little simple changes which will cost you less than the next tier level. I think you asked for advise so I will tell you mine works perfect after a these minor corrections and I have good reason to believe you can get there too for the lowest cost for performance. If I can aid you to get there I will be rewarded to do so and at your service, In return the only thing I would ask from you is to go to the Social network on this site and join as a Vissani\edgestar member and and share with others your experinces with the unit.
