Thumbs up Finally, I am totally happy with my kegerator!

I was one of the unfortunate ones who had the POS Advanti unit. After a couple of attempts to fix the themostat - as many have discovered the temp is either 45 or 20 degrees, I was able to replace it with a different model.

Best Buy replaced the original Advanti with a new unit. The next day the unit froze so I took it back. (I have since realized that the Brewers Edge Digital Temp Controller will work fine - acording to Ashman!)

BB gave me store credit and the store ordered this item Frigidaire Products - PLKU1267D from their web site. Also got $100 bucks off the price!

At the coldest setting, I could only get 42 degrees so calls to service went out. The first trip was to adjust the location of the thermostat probe tip. It was too close to the CO2 tank. That didn't fix it. Next trip was to replace the Thermostat. That didn't fix it. Last trip was to get the service tech on the phone with Frigidaire. They explained where the hidden screw was to adjust the Thermostat setting. This unit is very new and the techs did not have any experience with it. Now I am pouring liquid temps @ 35degrees with plenty of room for glasses and other drinks in the cooler.

Granted I could have gotten a commercial model for close to the same price, but my problem was getting the cash back from BB. So, this option worked for me! If you get one, make sure you are happy with the temp setting!!!

Cheers!!

You should love the frigidaire. I have the other frigidaire model:

Frigidaire Products - FRTB7B4EM

and have had nothing but good luck with it. We got it in December and since have had 1/6 Flying Fish and 1/4 of yuengling. For both the unit maintained perfect temperature.

My only complaint is with the taller tap handles you can not open the freezer without opening the lower section, and with the joy of frozen pint glasses if too many drinkers are around I have to swap out the nice big tap handles for little shorites so the keg temp doesn't wack out.

Next up is Moosehead, I pick it up tomorow!

Good luck with your Frigidaire!

"Best head in town!"

I have this model "PLKU1267D" and I am having temp issues. I am aware of only one temp adjust screw as the manual shows. Is there another one? I can only get liquid temp down to 42 or 41 at best. How can I mod this unit to make it colder? Any help?

Could you post pics of how you adjusted the thermostat? There are a few people having temperature issues with this same unit? I was wondering if there is a hidden adjustment screw.
