Default Argh...CO2 tank empty...after 3 logs...

My 5lb CO2 tank is empty - after 3 - 1/6th barrels

My gas lines are all nice and tight with screw clamps - does this mean my CO2 regulator has a leak/is shot?? I just got the setup not even a month ago. Is there any easy way to tell if you have a leak in the gas lines/setup?

If you have a two gauge regulator and a shut off valve in the line right below the regulator then you can try this. Open the tank all the way. Shut off the valve directly below the regulator. Note the high pressure reading and shut off the tank. If the high pressure reading drops then you have a leak in the regulator, or at the very least somewhere between the shut off valve and the tank. If it is fine then you can do the same thing only leave the shut off valve open. The reading should drop ti confirm your suspicions. Do you have some sort of gasket between the regulator and the tank? This is a common cause of leaks so you should check it out. Always shut off the tank before removing regulator. Good luck.

Just another suggestion, even though you say the lines and fittings are all tight, it would not hurt to check them out with some snoop, ( a soapy solution ), you put this on all the fittings and look for bubbles. If they apear you have a leak which may not be visible or audible to yourself.
You can make your own snoop ( 50% dish soap / 50% water ).
