Securing tower

Greetings All...

I am installing a 3" tower on the top of a small fridge and am worried about how stable it will be just having sheet metal screws going into the rather flimsy material in the fridge top. Is there a standard way of making a tower setup more secure? Should I even worry about it?

Also, best methods for creating a hole? Insulating the inside of the tower?
