Default Deep freeze Kegerator

Thanks to the administators for hosting this forum and thanks to all for reading this.

I have a two kegerator setup with CO2 tanks inside of each. A beer line (1/4") comes out of each side that is insulated with split foam and fiberglass water heater wrap to attempt to the lines cool. That is running 10-11 feet to a two faucet tower in the kitchen mounted on granite countertop. It works very nice even with the Tampa summer heat in the garage where the kegerators are located. The old kegerators do suck electricity and I would like to look at other options.

I saw on ebay the listing for the deep freeze kegerator. I would like to do the same. I contacted the guy who made it and he stated that there is a aux temperature controller that runs between 10-70 degrees and is very is to use. Has anyone seen such a temp controller, does anyone use a deep freeze (which uses less electricity than the old frig) for a keg? I wouldnt need the added box for the faucets on the deep freeze since I would be using beer line to the faucets but the whole idea is compelling for me to do!

Where can I get said temp controller?

Thanks for any help.

I got one of these for my P.O.S. Avanti that froze everything and it works beautifully. No more frozen beer lines.

I'd think the one the prvious poster linked to on MM's site would do you a good job. I used something similar to bypass the crappy Danby temperature controls on my unit. These remote bulb units are proven technology and are better than any whizbang digital business you can find IMHO.

Hey I to used an old deep freezer instead of a fridge, I simply bought it from MM. It just plugs into the freezer and cuts the power to it when the temperature is reached and turns it back on once it starts getting above your set temp. I got the analog one, now they even have digital ones. Never had a problem sinec installed, keeps my beer perfect temp and me happy. I actully storeded it in the same box where the freezer motor is located and just dripped a hole into the freezer for the prob. it was the only part of the wall that did not have cooling tubes in it.
