Default Hefeweizen or Dunkelweizen in Keg?

Having a hard time finding a Hefeweizen or Dunkelweizen that is widely distributed in kegs. I tried SN Kellerweis, but they only bottle. Does anybody know of any others? I live in Louisiana if that helps.

I think Sam Adams has a Dunkelweizen available in the fall, but not sure if it is available in a keg.
On tap now: Homebrewed Nut Brown Ale, Oatmeal Stout, Altbier and Berry Blonde Ale.

I have had Weihenstephaner in the kegerator twice and think it's one of the best that is available in 50l kegs.
    No CRAP! on tap

Thanks for the suggestion. Was hoping to find a domestic hefe, since I wanted a keg that wasn't pasteurized. Will look into Weihenstaphaner, Paulaner and Franziskaner. Might try to find them in bottles and see, which one I like the best.

See if your local beer store can work with you to contact their distributor(s) to find out exactly what kegs are available. They are likely to help you out if they are given the impression that you will be buying from them on a regular basis.

When I first started buying kegs, my local store was able to obtain a list of what beers were available in what sizes. Then I just picked what I wanted off the list. You don't need something widely distributed. You just need something distributed in your area.

I would check with your local beverage center. I'm able to get 50L kegs of Spaten Franziskaner on a regular basis (I live near Albany, NY). You'll also need a different keg coupler, but worth the added cost...great summertime beer! Good Luck

I brewed my first homebrew yesterday and it is a hefeweizen that is currently fermenting. Figured I would take matters into my own hands.

Try a 1/6th of Allagash White. My favorite of that style, easy to get, made in Maine. Good with lemon.
