Default Regulator Question

I’m having trouble keep the psi’s at a constant 10-12 psi’s. It seems that it will pour well for about 20min then it either goes too high or too low. Sometimes it shows 12psi on the regulator and pours like it at 20psi. I'm new to the whole kegerator world and any information regarding this issue will be greatly appreciated. F.Y.I I have a dual gauge regulator and I’m using an old coke co2 tank.

If you have a shut off valve in the line coming out of the regulator then you should be shutting off the valve and then adjusting the regulator to the appropriate level. After you are done you can open up the valve and you should be good. Sometimes the pressure in the keg (if it is higher) will throw this off and make it appear higher than normal, the opposite can happen too as equilibrium is established. Just a thought.
