Default Temp variance

My kegerator seems to be working well, I'm still fine tuning the temp and pressure, but I've noticed that the temperature seems to vary, within 5 degrees say maybe a bit more, the various times I check it. This would be the liquid temp (I keep a glass with water and an old brewing thermometer in there). Is this normal? The beer seems fine so should I just not worry about it?

I have noticed that it is really hard to make fine adjustments with the temperature control inside the fridge (Bev-Air BM23). I tune slightly one way it goes to 30F. I wait a day, back it very slightly the other and it's 40F.

The swing seems a bit wide. This makes it very difficult to dial in pressure with CO2 without changing recipe of beer. Is the condensor clean? If so, the thermostat may be faulty. I'll request info from BEv Air and get back to you.

You're the man don't let anybody tell you different!

I'll cast an eye at the back of the unit, it might need cleaning.
