Default Home made tower

Another newb here. Just now putting together a home dispensing system with a small chest freezer.

Another homebrewer on another list made a dandy 2-faucet tower from 3-inch PVC pipe. I'm making the same basic design. Problem is most homebrew supply sites don't have shanks any shorter than 3 inches. That's obviously too large to fit inside the tower. On the Micromatic site, there is a photo of an elbow shank that seems like it should work. Anyone familiar with this or with anything else that might work?
Also, most shanks have a flat collar instead of one that will conform to the rounded outside surface of the tower. Any thoughts on solving this?
Thanks!

All but the 3" shank at the bottom of the page that micromatic sells would work out, plus, all the required hardware is included. I ordered the stainless one and had no problems with it. Click the link below.
