Default Cooler Kegerator help

I'm going to build a double keg cooler kegerator(like a coleman cooler), and wanted to know what lines I could use instead of the stainless coils (I can't afford 2 of them!) Anybody have ideas on what kind and how long of lines I could use? Or, anyone know what size cold plate would be large enough to keep cold beer flowing? Thanks! Linda

Jockey box? Right?

The length of hose you'll need is going to be determined by how fast you plan on pouring your beer (and how cold your cooler is).

I'd say you'll need 100 feet for two kegs.

Depending on the size of your cooler, you can purchase 3/8" Inside Diameter barrier tubing. Coil this around an item you may have that will result in the right diameter for the inside of your cooler. The coil would just high enough so that you could close the lid. Using foil tape tape this on the outside and remove from item. Then tape entire coil inside and out leaving ends exposed (point ends to inside of coil).

Using splicers, install five feet of 3/8" ID vinyl from one end of the coil to the keg coupler. Install approximately 10 feet of 3/16" ID line from the other end to the back of your shank which would be mounted to the cooler wall. Coil and tape this 3/16" so that it will fit inside the other coil.

This system will require approximately 25 to 30 PSIG and is intended for party use only. Not to be used long term.
