    Default Drilling

I just purchased an 8.8 cu ft Frigidaire chest freezer. I have a micromatic tower ket I had set up on an old fridge that broke. Anyway, I should be ok drilling a hole through the lid right? How do you go about drilling through the metal on the top of the lid? I have a masonry drill so power isn't an issue. Any tips from guys who have done this before?

    Thanks
    Greg

A bi-metal hole saw ought to do it. Turn off the hammer drill mode on that masonry drill.

    You need a hole saw.
Malt is the soul of beer... and yeast gives it life..
but the kiss of the hop is the vitality of that life!

My three favorite beers: The one I just had, the one I'm drinking now and the next one I'll have.

I used a jig saw with a metal cutting blade. Just trace the inside of the tower on the lid and get to work.
