Default Conversion Kit Question - Hole saw

I wanted to edit this posts to make sure this doesnt happen to anyone else buying the premium door mount conversion kit. The directions that Micro Matic sent me via email were incorrect. It said I needed a 1" hole saw. In fact you need a 1 1/8" hole saw. The spacer that goes within the door is 1 1/8". I realized this after drilling the 1" hole and the spacer would not fit. I decided it would be easier to just leave out the spacer instead of trying to make the hole larger. The only function of the spacer seemed to be to ensure that the shank was mounted tight enough. I dont foresee a problem not using it though, everything is mounted tight and secure.

I bought the premium door mount kegerator conversion kit off of micromatic.com on Friday. I wanted to try and find out what size hole saw bit I will need to cut the hole for the shank. I've read a couple of different sizes and wanted to go ahead and get one so I'll be able to start once I get the kit. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

I've looked and unfortunately it does not give you the size of the hole saw needed. Anybody use this kit and know what size I need?

Ok, got my answer. For anyone else who might be wondering, you need a 1/4" drill bit and a 1" hole saw. Kit comes tomorrow so by Thursday I should be enjoying my first glass of freshly tapped beer.

you will like that kit better than a kegerator, if I had to do it all over again that is the way I would have went. much colder beer due to no tower
