Default Power Outage

The power to my kegerator got knocked off. The temp. was 60 deg when I found it,I guess it happened yesterday. I had just put in a fresh 1/4 of Michelob and a 1/6th of Amberbock in on Sat. So is all my beer ruined?

The temp of the beer or the inside of the kegerator? If it were the beer temp then your prob on borrowed time, if it was the system the beer may not have been so warm yet. Either way your most likely looking at problems. Have a party and kill em both fast then start over. If your close by I would be happy to come over and help empty the Amber Bock!

The temp. I gave was of the system. I didn't have time to get the beer temp. Luckily I am having a party this weekend. I am in AL. If your near let me know, I'd love to sit around and have a few.

Actually I am near, I live in Southwest Georgia. Unfortunately I already have plans for the weekend, helping my father-in-law install an home theater screen and projector in his den. Where were you stationed while you were in? We may have shared some dirt at one time, I was active from 83 to 03.

I spent some time in SW Georgia - MCLB Albany. Most of my time was there , Okinawa, and Cherry Point. I did spend three months in the lovely desert of 29 Palms. Man, I couldn't wait to get back east where there were some trees. My brother is a retired gunny. He was active 81-02.

Good Luck on your project. I have a buddy getting ready to retire at MCLB Albany I am planning on visiting. Maybe I'll look you up, have a beer and talk about old times in the Corps.

I work as a contractor at MCLB now. Could be I know your buddy or your brother, let me know if you head this way and we'll put a dent in my Amber Bock keg.

Good News! I tested my beer last night after it had chilled back down. I think I found it before it was to late. Didn't notice any strange flavors and I took some extra measures to insure it don't happen again.

Hey Gunns, I will definately let you know when I'm down that way! Have a good one!

rr,
Keep an eye (or tongue) on your kegs, they could still have problems in the works as it takes a little time for the nasties to grow when your beer gets too warm. I hope your right though and that you caught it in time.
