Help with my shopping list
I am converting a full size fridge. I plan on running 1 line to a draft tower mounted into a seperate bar. I am also planning on having 2 taps coming out of the front of the fridge for a total of 3 taps for the system. I would also like the option of force carbing my beer, without having to disconnect a current tap.
Here is what I think I need so far:
1 draft tower
2 Faucets
2 Shanks for Faucets
appropriate beer and air line, disconnects.
10 lb c02 tank
The question is how many and what kinds of gauges will I need?
Also do I need backflow stoppers?
Can I use air distributors or a T for the 2 Faucets?
I assume the remote Draft tower will need it's own gauge.
The 2 faucets can share a manifold or T.
What about force carbing?
Thanks

force carbing? isn't that for homebrew conditioning? you might want to invest in a drip tray. i made my own and couldn't not have one that's for sure, drips happen. an air distributor has shut off valves you will need. if you get a 2-way block you can buy a seperate shut off valve and put it on the end of the block replacing the plug that comes with it. this way you can also hook up your tower line. if you want a gauge dedicated to the tower you will have to put two regulators on the tank. depending on how far your tower line goes you may have to do this. the longer the line the more pressure drop. backflow valves are nice but if your good you won't need em. i have had beer backfeed and had to clean the lines but i know what i did wrong and probably won't do it again. make sure to get a lot of hose clamps, seems like that was the one thing i never had enough of and micro-matic has them cheeper then the local hardware store.

This system can be set up with the appropriate hardware. Before we get to that, how far are you going to route to the tower on the bar. Be aware that your refrigerator may overwork itself trying to maintain temperature with-in the extra cubic feet your are attaching to it. You will also need to install a blower forcing the air through the duct and then return this air back to your refrigerator.
Please advise.

You will want to manually disconnect the beer line from the keg to the tap while force carbonating. I tried this once without diconnecting and I had beer everywhere! I run low pressure line from the keg to the tap so it sprung leaks when I was forcing.
