Default Buying new Kegerator

First time poster. I am buying a Kenmore Kegerator, I will be putting it under my bar and putting the tower on top of the bar. Will that be ok or dose the tower need to be cooled. There will be about 4" from the the kegerator to the top of the bar.

is there going to be a space between top of kegerator and bottom of tower? You could fashion something to keep beer line enclosed between tower and kegerator and a hose to let some cooler air circulate inside the tower itself
