Default Gas inside or outside the fridge?

I run Guinness in my Kegerator and I have a few questions about storage of the "beer gas" (75% nitrogen 25% CO2):

1. Does it make any difference if you store the gas cylinder inside the fridge (as I do) as opposed to outside the fridge?

2. Can the blended gas mixture ever become un-blended?

and

3. If the mixture CAN become "un-blended" how long does it take and is there a way to prevent it (such as rolling the cylinder on the ground every once in a while as I saw suggested by someone somewhere else)?

Thanks

It does not matter where you store your tank ( even if it is next to the water heater). When I purchased my mixed gas, the shop rep only had 20lb tanks available. I had the same concearn as you about the gas going bad or separating. The rep told me that the gas will not separate and that there is no shelf life for the beer gas. Besides, even though there is alot of gas there, the kegs seem to be going pretty quick:-)

I now have a keg of Boddingtons Pub Ale and I am loving it!!

Drink up buddy.

Im making the shelf for my fridge conversion tonight and I took the size of everything into consideration. According to my plans, the shelf will be at the oerfect height where Ill have a 18 1/2" shelf depth while the line coming out of the tap should have just enough room to not get kinked and my 20# tank will have just enough clearance where I can turn off the main line. Going to be atight fit, but it should work out just fine
