Default Faucet away from Kegerator

I am about to convert a new fridge into a kegerator and needed some advise. The kegerator will be in the garage with the beer line running approx 2 ft. through the garage wall and coming out a wall-mounted whiskey barrel end.

My questions are:
1. With the faucet distance from the kegerator only being 2 ft., will it require a fan to return the cool air back to the fridge or will insulation around the beer line be sufficient?

2. Is it possible to run the beer line out of the back of the fridge, if one is careful not to puncture any of the fridge cooling equipment?

Thanks,
Chadmay

Use a blower with flex tube to maintain temperature. Based on the manufacturer, you could hit a thermostat wire or other component damaging the refrigerator. Tread lightly.
