I couldn't agree more. I love Firestone beer. I like their Union Jack and Pale Ale better than their DBA though. They have also just released a Double Jack double ipa. It is only sold in 5 gallon kegs to a few beer bars statewide. I will be back at the brewery in a few months and hope to try it.

Unfiltered DBA is by far the best beer I have ever had. I just called them and I guess they are distributing here in AZ now and told me to keep and eye out for their beers. If I can get DBA or their Elephant Ale on keg I will be in heaven. Bevmo here has their DBA and Pale Ale and Union Jack for $10 a six pack.. I just can't come to paying that considering that Costco in my old home town had a 24 pack for $19.... here is a pic for you....

Boring I know but, Yungling again in the old tapper. After checking the price of some of the other brands and going through a keg in about two and a half weeks can't justify a more exotic brand. True, some of the domestic brands are cheaper but, just don't have the same flavor.

Their Union Jack has gone up to $12.99 a six pack at the grocery store near my house. I hope to eventually get a keg of it. At 7.5% it would be difficult for me to finish the keg in a timely manner.

nothing wrong with sticking with what you like.

that's what i've been doing with my kegs...mainly yuengling and shock top. but i've also been trying new beers in 6 packs from wegmans. i found i like troegs dreamweaver and leinenkugels sunset wheat. the other troegs i've had so far are only really good on the 3rd or 4th one, once i get used to the bitterness (aka buzzed)

Herd all about Wegmans. My next door neighbor is from E.Rochester, N.Y. and swears by the place. Up there right now as a matter "O" fact. I do try different beers but, I keep coming back to my old favorite.

Desiree Cream Ale - High Gravity's Ingredient Kits - High Gravity

I meant to have this ready for the 4th of July but never got it kegged in time. Decided to keep it for Labor Day but tapped it last night. It sat on the yeast cake a little longer than I would have liked, but it is just fine and hit the spot after mowing today.

So I let it sit for 1.5 hours... I'm sorry my mouth was watering .... I got a few inches of head... which I chugged and then got a perfect pour at 42'f. Is it me or does Widmer Hefeweizen pour very easy?

Nothing right now, because I'm still building the kegerator! This weekend should be the debut of my Restatement Oktoberfest homebrew though!

Default Can't wait to get home...

I finished my kegerator project last night and picked up a keg and put it in there at noon so by 5:30 or so I should be home to tap it and try my 1st of several!

I wanted to get a 1/2 of Ziegenbach but Mireles was out so I decided to keep my wife happy and get Miller Lite instead. Next time I'll get something I want.

Also, I can't wait to get it working right and call my dad up and invite him over, just a minute away and see his reaction when I pour him a cold one!

I just replaced the door liner, gasket and installed a circulating fan in my trusty old Kenmore.

The first keg, since adding those new parts, is a 1/6 bbl of Victory Hop Devil. I'm picking it up tomorrow!

Killed the Miller Lite 1/2 barrel last night.

Went to Mr Kegs grand opening and purchased a keg of Sierra Nevada Southern Hemisphere Harvest Fresh Hop Ale.

Tasty.

I finally got around to adding a fan for circulation and cleaning my lines. Put in a 1/6 bbl of Allagash Black and a 1/6 bbl of Pennichuck "Big O" Oktoberfest last Friday. Both are yum!

I feel ya Cubby... I feel the same way. Drink what makes you happy and don't worry what others say. If it's Chimay, PBR, Natty Light so be it.

As a self proclaimed beer nerd, PBR is one of my beers of choice for summer outings. Many people dismiss something like PBR, because it's cheap. If they have one, their preconceived notion is that it's cheap, and it's bad, when that "bad" taste they are experiencing is actually flavor. Enjoy the PBR! Because I do!

In conclusion, it kind of irks me when someone ridicules someone else for the beer they choose. I prefer that everyone enjoy themselves and drink what makes them happy.

Will finish the 1/4 of Coors Light this weekend which was the "cherry" barrel to test the kegerator and have a 1/2 of Michelob Golden Draft Light ordered to be picked up Wednesday.

1/2 Natural Light and just got a 1/6 of Blue Moon ready to be tapped.

ICEMAN, I got into New Belgium's Fat Tire over the summer, but sadly they don't distribute to Virginia yet. I've 1554 and Mothership Wit is pretty decent as well.

I must rant, here in the Phoenix area (actually AZ in general) the distribution of beer in kegs leaves much to be desired. Some breweries only bottles, others only 1/2 bbls even though other markets get 1/6 and 1/4 bbls, and still others only their most common, standard fare. Ugh.. Rant over.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease! I would e-mail the breweries you have in mind and let them know what products you would like to see. Might not happen, but you can be sure breweries pay attention to consumer feedback. If you have a friend or two that enjoy the beer(s) you are looking for, get them to send an e-mail to.

I second that.

I have a heart condition so was ordered to stay away from alcohol and caffeine. I was looking for am o'doul's keg and called the local distributors and finally called AB. They put me in touch with someone who could order my o'doul's keg and have it delivered about 5 minutes from my house.

My persistence paid off and all I wasted was a few hours tracking down phone numbers and calling/emailing.

I was down in Ft. Lauderdale last week and they had Sam Adams Octoberfest already so you should be good to go.

ps- I'm convinced my heart problem is due to sleep apnea/snoring so I'm back on the wagon. Once the o'douls keg is empty I'm going to tap either a red ale or stout home brew in my new corny kegs!

Yes, but you have the Heart Attack Cafe in Scottsdale. I am headed out your way in early October. Not a fan of the desert, but when I found this place, it made my trip worth while. Ever been there?
