Default Blower tubing does not fit up tower...

Not sure what to do, I was going to install the blower in my Kenmore tonight, but when I was testing everything out, the tubing that I bought from micromatic doesn't fit up inside the hole for the tower.

Has anyone else had this problem? What should I do? Just direct the hose up to there and maybe tape it to the beer line or something so it stays pointed up to the tower?

Should I bend the tubing (squash it) to make it fit?

Thanks.

Tim

What size tubing did you order and what size ID is your tower? Is the insulation inside the tower 1/4" thick?

Scott, The tubing is the 4'x1" from micromatic

http://www.micromatic.com/draft-keg-...-pid-1651.html

The problem is that Kenmore puts a piece of PVC in the kegerator to line the hole drilled into the top of the kegerator so the tubing doesn't rub against the bare wood and get ruined. So the tubing doesn't fit into the PVC to be able to push it up into the tower. It's close, but doesn't quite fit thru...

The tower has a thin styrofoam lining inside it for insulation. The size of the tower is whatever comes with the Kenmore/Sanyo, but like I said the tubing won't even make it that far into the tower, it's getting it thru the hole in the top of the kegerator that's the problem.

Thanks.

So I took everything apart and forced the hose up into the tower. I removed the pvc liner to make room, but it was VERY tight. The tower seems cold. I cleaned everything real good and I have a new 1/4 keg of Miller Lite and I'm waiting for it to settle and get cold inside the kegerator again before I tap it.

I'm afraid now that I'm pinching the line inside the hole, but I can't tell by just looking at it. The line does seem strong, so maybe I'm ok.

I'll tap it tomorrow night and see what happens...
