Default hose line sizes..

I just moved into a new house that has a 3 tap system built in. What I just found out is that one of the 3 lines has 1/4" tubing running to the tap and it doesn's seem like the standard taps will fit onto the 1/4" tubing. I've seen when I'm shopping on the site that they sell splicers and such to be able to go from one id to another. My question, will this work and what size will fit the standard tap?

Thanks..

Mark

Need to know the distance from the keg to the back of the faucet along with the vertical distance between the horizontal plane at the bottom of the keg and the same at the faucet. The vertical distance between these two planes only. Also, what type of a set up is there to keep the lines at the same temperature of the beer in the keg?

It's approximately 8 feet or so from the keg to the faucet. As far as the vertical distance..it's probably about 3 or 4 feet or so from the bottom of the keg and the bottom of the faucet. I have a large freezer that the kegs are in...it looks like the lines are in some kind of tube between the freezer and the faucets. I have 2 lines that are currently working and seem to do just fine, this one just had a smaller id tubing for some reason.

Thanks..
