Default Standard Setup and Foam

OK, I abandoned the remote tap and placed the tap right on the side of the frig. 5 feet of 3/16 beerline, 900 feet above sea level, quarter barrel of Miller Lite @ 14 PSI as Scott suggested. My liquid beer temp went up to 41 while I was setting up the new tap location. Will the foam go away when the temp drops back to 36-38?

It may or may not. I had some serious issues with a 1/4 keg of sam adams last month, probably lost 1/2 of the keg due to foam and it did not settle down in the glass. running 1/2 keg of killians red now, a bit of foam, but it settles quickly, I can live with that. also the temp is 35f. I think these units are prone to foaming due to not being used commercially, i.e pouring a glass or a bunch of glasses every few minutes like my bar up the street. they can pour a glass and have the perfect head every time. dont take my word for it tho, just my .02

Try to maintain at 38 F. Once your system stays at this temperature and you do not try to dispense a warm keg that was just brought home, you should never have to adjust (unless your beer type has a different carbonation level). Keep the system, glassware, and condenser clean and you should be in great shape. Check for gas leaks as well and if required, repair .
